Your Data and how we use it and store it.

This new regulation that has come into play, May 25th 2018, replaces the Data Protection Act.

What this means for us at CMS North West and our customers…

CMS North West keeps your details (Name, Phone Number, Address) on the record. .

Why CMS North West has your details, so we can contact you with regards to any current work we are performing for you, so we can contact you when your caravan or motor-home.

CMS North West DO NOT share your details to any 3rd parties.

Electronically we dont currently keep any details in Electronic form bar any email correspondence purely for reference later.

Credit/Debit Cards. CMS North West does not retain any credit card details nor do we even take them outside of using a chip and pin/contactless card machine which is always in view of our customers during the procedure. The company that processes our transactions is a GDPR compliant company.

CMS North West retains your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services. However, CMS North West may also be required to retain this information to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.  We generally keep your data for 6 years

 


Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information.  While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. CMS North West describes these rights below:

– Access – You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information CMS North West hold about you by contacting us using the contact information below.

– Change, restrict, delete –  You may also have rights to change, restrict our use of, or delete your personal information.  Absent exceptional circumstances (such as where CMS North West is required to store data for legal and tax reasons) we will generally delete your personal information upon request.

– Object –
You can object to (i) our processing of some of your information based on our legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from us after providing your express consent to receive them.  In such cases, CMS North West will delete your personal information unless we have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.

– Complain –
 If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
